Welcome again to yet another journal about everything and anything, but mainly nothing.
First off, thanks for the DD on Warsong! I remember back in what... 2006 or 7 when I got my first ever DD. It was such a big deal back then because they had this special bare at the side or bottom, that features 5 selected DDs of the day. But apparently now, There's almost a hundred DDs a day? The community has really grown. I'm thankful nonetheless.
I promised myself to at least try to write a journal every week, because I feel like my writing skills are greatly deteriorating. I spend more time drafting and texting my friends in every ghetto subculture accent I could find that I feel like real trash now haha.
So I've been working on this piece and it's taking me forever because for some odd reason, I really am paying a lot of attention to details here. It's a piece inspired by Valentino's couture two season ago, where feathers were hand embroidered onto a cape to mimic a butterfly. Here's how it currently looks like.

Is anyone watching Sailor Moon Crystal here who actually appreciates it as much as I do? I mean sure, it's not as perfect as what most people are expecting but being a fan who is more familiar with the manga, (You know, the one that actually tells the RIGHT story and has more depths) I just am thankful they decided to remake this. It's like 'Friends' getting a sequel! Or... if Will & Grace gets a reboot! However I'm a little disappointed it's not gonna be all the arcs
Thinking of actually attending an anime expo in America sometime next year! Any recommendations?

10 year art progress!
Cleaning up folders means unlocking the various velocities of horror from the past. Let's take a trip down memory lane shall we?
And I feel like I've made no progress at all haha.
So the oldest work I've found was from 2004. It's 2014. It has been 10 years. So I've decided to compile my journey of 10 years! 10 freaking years! Good God am I a fossil or what? I'll walk you guys through what I can remember from each year.
2004 - It's not really the start of my drawing days. I've been drawings since I was 2 according to my mom. Is that even logical? I thought babies only started to walk at 2. So as you can see. I suck. But this was the start o

I personally prefer Crystal over the old anime, though not the manga.
People complain about the art, but I find it less eyebleedy (bright colours look more alive to me than unshaded cells...) and more loyal to the source material than the old anime, which now that I'm older I don't like nearly as much as I used to.
The anatomy is... well it's shoujo, meh. Manga art is nice, but at the same time it's not really known for it's anatomical correctness or consistency -- but rather exaggeration. The manga, which is the source material wasn't exactly known for being consistent either though it is nice and sparkly.
Now I will say despite what I've said I love manga, especially shoujo actually and Sailor Moon is one of my favourite things ever really. I'm looking forward to see what they do with the shitenou this time and am squeeing over getting to see Venus and stuff...
Orchids hate me :/ Any other plant? Oh no they all love me... but orchids? Nope, they always die. Makes me sad as they're a favourite...
Oh and also, nice pic love the details.
